Reflection for Introduction to World Religion and Belief System Grade XI GAS

Reflection
by Abdola Mariano

My journey through the lessons of Introduction to World Religion and Belief System enable me to learn  and identify the beliefs and practices of the top ten largest religions in the world, and which are the religions belong to monotheist, polytheist, and atheist. I learned the Jewish beliefs about messiah and views about human nature, what is the meaning of  torah observant and karaite. I also learned more about Islam and why do Muslims go to Mecca. Because I am a Muslim and the  reporter of this topic , I am responsible to research about it and share to others especially to my classmates.

Moreover, I also picked up the eight fast facts about the Christianity,  the idea of covenant, what is the God's promises, what is the meaning of Jesus' sacrifice, about the mistranslated verses referring to Jesus and the basic Hindu beliefs. Also, knowing the meaning of alma, beliefs of Taoism, Baha'ism, Shintoism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Jainism, Cunfucianism, and the thirteenth Rambam's principle of faith are part of my learnings.

I am so thankful and blessed for what I've learned through our lessons in Introduction to World Religion and Belief System. Although, some of my quizzes, activities, and examinations wasn't able to get a high score, the most important is I learned so much and that is the best part of a student, to learn something new.

Overall, I realized  that one of the most important things that we need to do and we need to  put in our mind, heart and soul is  even though we are not the same religion, we should respect, love, accept, and value each other  in this whole world. Because, I know and  we all know that religion is not the one who will save us at the end of the day, but our faith, prayer, and doing good in this world  will the one that matters and the one who prevails.

Reflection for General Mathematics Grade XI GAS

Reflection

Some people said that Mathematics is a mind-numbing subject. But, for me, if you put your mind and heart on it, it's not mind-numbing it's fun and interesting.

Then, I thought that Mathematics of grade XI is difficult to understand and hard to solve because it is now general. But, I was wrong.  I was definitely wrong. It is really far and opposite to what I expected to be.

First day of school, I already learned new things.  I  learned the seven habits of highly effective people, by Stephen Covey. These seven habits  made me realized that I should practice it everyday even when I'm not at school. Because, it can help us to be a responsible person in every task we have. And this responsible person might become a successful human being.

In addition, move on to our lesson, I discovered and learned what are the functions, domains, and how to convert English units to SI units. I also learned how to convert and solve the temperature from degree Fahrenheit to degree Celsius and vice-versa. Computing, and finding maturity value, present value, future value, how to determine the amount of principal, rate, time and solving annuity using long and short method are part of my learnings.

Furthermore, I learned a lot not just in our general Mathematics subject but also in everyday. Because, our teacher, Mrs. Magbanua taught  us everyday some precious lessons. Just like, you must study your lessons so that during examination you have  an answer that you will going to write on your test paper.

And, all those things will be nothing without the help and without the encouragement of our courageous teacher, Mrs. Antonieta V. Magbanua.

Reflection about the subject Entrepreneurship Grade XI GAS

Reflection
by Abdola Mariano

"Entrepreneurship is the beginning of business. Business is the bridge to success. And, success is the fruit of happiness." This quote is one of my own understandings that I made about our topic in entrepreneurship.

From the beginning, I know that this subject (entrepreneurship) will gonna talk about business. And, because business is one of the aspects to make our lives more progressive, I wanted to learn more about it. I discovered new things. I learned more about business on how to manage and maintain a good  business. I learned about economic development, nature of small business, about invention, innovation, and advantages and disadvantages of small business and corporation. Also, I learned what are the rewards of a successful entrepreneur, the ownership choices (sole proprietorship, partnership, and corporation), and how to cooperate expenses. Knowing the ethical and social responsibilities of the entrepreneur, the six types of personality, and the four rights (the right to be safe, to be inform, to be choose, and to be heard) of the  consumers are part of my learnings.

To all the  things that  I've learned, I realized and found out that the business can't stand alone without the help of the entrepreneur. And, it is really important that in order to be a successful entrepreneur, you should love and passionate to your chosen  job. Just like what Steve Jobs says, "The only way to do great work is to love what you do."
